WVPU’s BSc in Computer Science with an Emphasis in Machine Learning focuses on computer science, machine learning and data analysis. Students learn to develop algorithms and systems for a variety of applications, including health care, economics and life sciences. The program also helps students develop strong math, writing and communication skills.
Combining classroom learning and hands-on training, students learn program and system verification, usability, modeling and project management. In addition, they learn to plan and execute projects that solve real-world challenges.

Students who complete this program will be able to:
1. Proof of a strong foundation in mathematics, demonstrated through:
a. Minimum secondary school grades in all math courses in the last 3 years of
secondary school of 3.0 based on a 4-point scale or its converted equivalent in
international or state-recognized educational systems, or
b. Minimum grades in the last year of specific educational programs/minimum scores
in school leaving examinations, as follows (or their equivalents in other countries).

2. In addition, applicants to the Computer Science (BSc) program must submit:
a. one recommendation letter testifying to the student’s skills and interest in Information
Technologies from the applicant’s teacher, supervisor or similar;
b. Summary of related extra-curricular activities and competitions (e.g., Robotics,
Coding/Programming, “Hackathons (Science and Technology fairs)" or out-of-school courses
or projects.
