Background and Facts


Andrea Prutsch holds a Doctoral Degree from the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU). After two years as a Junior Researcher at BOKU University, she joined the Department of Environmental Impact Assessment & Climate Change at Environment Agency Austria Vienna in April 2008. Since October 2015 she is the deputy Head of the Department. Andrea Prutsch studied at University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Vienna (Austria), Queensland University of Technology Brisbane (Australia) and Simon Fraser University in Vancouver (Canada).

Her main field of expertise ranges from climate change impacts to policy relevant aspects of climate change adaptation and mitigation as well as climate change communication. Ms. Prutsch provides support on these questions to various clients such as the Austrian Environment Ministry, the European Commission, the European Environment Agency and others.
