Partners in Education Program

”At Borealis, excellence is more than a buzzword. Establishing the Borealis Scholarships endowment at Webster Vienna to reward excellence is practicing what we preach,” explains Mark Garrett, Borealis Chief Executive. “We welcome this opportunity to use the Borealis Social Fund to enable top students – regardless of financial background or family income level – to dedicate themselves to getting a world-class education with less financial worries.”

Webster Vienna's Partners in Education Program has been changing lives for more than three decades. It enables gifted students, who cannot afford a private, American education, to complete their academic studies by providing them with the needed financial resources. By helping to cover the costs for tuition, these scholarships can even be the key factor in determining whether a student is able to attend university.

Individuals and corporations making large and/or long-term donations to provide scholarships to financially less privileged students join our Partners in Education Program.

Partners in Education may name the scholarship.

This is how it works

For companies or individual donors: The supporting partner donates funding for a bright, deserving student to pursue a Bachelor's, MBA, or Master's degree by making a two-year or a four-year pledge, depending on the chosen credentials. The student will be selected by a special university scholarship committee (in consultation with the donor, if preferred) and commits to taking a predetermined number of courses each year until the completion of the degree. The scholarship partner receives a detailed financial and academic report about the student’s progress on a yearly basis. Many companies hire these students either for internships during their studies or after they graduate – a partnership beneficial for everyone involved.

For public institutions: The university applies for the funding on behalf of the student after checking that all necessary criteria are fulfilled. For eligibility requirements, please refer to our Scholarship experts.
