SMART Branding in Vienna

Organized by Dr. Julia Skobeleva, Branding is an eight-week course for Webster students who want an introduction to a top-notch undergraduate business education and the opportunity to hone their branding skills. This summer the course offered opportunities to learn about branding in 21st century organizations through a dynamic mix of classes and company site visits.

Scholarships for New Students

There are scholarships available for new students starting in October, January or March.

  • City of Vienna Division of Cultural Affairs Scholarship: For Austrian citizens holding an Austrian Matura, 2 scholarships available (value of each € 6,000/year) for a total value of € 12,000. (Undergraduate)
  • Webster University Vienna Scholarships for new students: For Undergraduate and Graduate students. Up to 50% of tuition per year.

Faculty member Dr. Pollak invited to join Directorate of IEP

Dr. Johannes Pollak, a permanent faculty member of the International Relations Department, is now a member of the Academic Directorate of the German Institute for European Politics  (  The membership is by invitation only and based on academic credentials. With currently only forty individual members, the invitation is testament to Dr. Pollak's excellent scholarly track record.

Webster Vienna working at the UN - Palace of Nations in Geneva

Students and faculty from Vienna supported Webster Geneva in a high-end production project during the public symposium of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in Geneva. For two days the live video-presentation and recording of the international event was carried out by the small, but highly professional team from Vienna. After their successful work media-major Fidan Aliyeva and Jacqueline Thode received an official acknowledgement from UNCTAD for their contribution.

The Fall 1 New Student Orientation takes place for three days and it is a mixture of information sessions during the days and fun activities in the evenings. Thank you all Webster Student Leaders for making everyone feel at home and find their way around campus and Vienna!

Student leaders from the Webster University Geneva and Vienna campus who are part of the WebsterLEADS Student Leadership Certificate Program met for the annual Orientation Leadership Retreat in Geneva on June 5, 2013.

Delta Mu Delta Induction Ceremony 2013

The annual induction ceremony of the Vienna Chapter of Delta Mu Delta, a prestigious international honor society in business, was traditionally held in Café Landtmann on June 12, 2013. The existing Delta Mu Delta members as well as Webster Vienna faculty and staff were pleased to welcome Ms. Kristi Magllara and Mr. Philipp Ferdinand Prassl to the society.

The induction ceremony was followed by a talk by Dr. Conrad Prambӧck, the Head of Compensation Consulting at a leading international executive search firm Pedersen & Partners.
