The Mentoring-Kickoff was much more than just a well organized event, it is a value added for students and an USP for Webster Vienna Private University. Student days are not only one of the most beautiful periods in our lives, but also one of the most important ones, and I'm pleased to take part in a process of shaping a student's career and future success (Stjepan Pticar, MBA '06).
On Saturday, November 1st, Webster Scholars joined Scholars program coordinator Dorothy Kopel, Webster Scholars seminar professor Seth Wiener, and Webster Scholarship Coordinator Katherine Price Beuchert for TedxVienna at the Volkstheather in the 7th district. http://tedxvienna.at/bravenewspace
Congratulations to Webster Media Communications student David Mahlich who has created this fantastic video showing how a Viennese palais has been transformed into a modern building for education. David has spent many hours to follow and capture the different steps in the renovation process. The whole production was supervised by Webster media faculty Elisabeth Zoe Knass and Holger Lang. The end result is an informative, fast moving, up-beat production that was first shown at the Grand Opening of Palais Wenkheim, October 29th, 2014.
Since the opening of Residence am Augarten, Webster’s student community has really blossomed. For Halloween 2014, the students hosted a charity Halloween party, featuring face painting, food, games, a costume contest and charity drive. Attended by a significant percentage of the student population, the party was a huge success!
