Centennial Event Connects Trustees, Vienna Alumni, Advisory Board
On June 8th members of the Webster University board of trustees, the Vienna campus advisory board, and several alumni had the opportunity to exchange insights and reflections from Webster’s past and future during a networking event.
The event was hosted by Erste Bank in Vienna, which offered the beautiful rooftop Erste Bank Lounge as a setting for the event in Vienna’s prestigious 1st district. Webster University alumni at the networking event represented graduating classes going all the way back to the 1980s, when Webster Vienna opened as the University’s second international location.
Webster University President Elizabeth (Beth) J. Stroble and Erste Bank’s Friedrich Rödler welcomed the guests to a scene that provided stunning views of Vienna’s historic city center.
For the alumni, it was also an opportunity to reunite with former classmates and to relive old memories from their student years. Exquisite hors d’oeuvres, delicately crafted desserts and delicious sparkling wine rounded off the evening, which lasted long after the sun set over Vienna’s beautiful skyline.
Webster Vienna was host to the June board of trustees meeting this week, as well as the June sessions of this year’s Global Leadership Academy cohort — making the week a unique opportunity for many different ambassadors and community members from Webster University to interact.
