Alumni Symposium Was a Success

The Webster Vienna Alumni Association welcomed over 150 alumni and guests to the 9th Annual Alumni Symposium at Palais Eschenbach.

Six wonderful panelists from different backgrounds discussed the topic of “Digital Transformation and how innovation in technology is changing the world” from their own perspective.

Franz Weber, President of the Vienna chapter of the Webster Alumni Association, welcomed our guests along with Dr. Johannes Pollak (Director of Webster Vienna Private University). Our former President of the Alumni Association, Stefano Cantini, did an excellent job moderating the panel discussions all the while enriching the conversation with his own thoughts and anecdotes.

One of the highlights of the event was a special visit from a very special robot named Pepper. This 4 ft. robot greeted our guests and amazed everyone with her charming interactions. The panel discussion was followed by a reception offering an opportunity for Webster alumni to reconnect with friends and former colleagues. The event was live-streamed for our alumni who were not able to attend (please see below).
