Dr. Pölzlbauer studied German/German as a Foreign Language, as well as English and American Studies, at the University of Vienna before receiving her MA (2011) and PhD (2015) in Germanic Languages and Literatures from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her dissertation, "Geschichte(n) in globalisierten ZeitRäumen. Österreichische Romane nach 2000," is soon to be published by Praesens Verlag.
Dr. Pölzlbauer has previously taught a the Vienna University of Economics and Business, the University of Applied Sciences (Vienna), IMC University of Applied Sciences (Krems), Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Universität Greifswald, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as both the University of Burjatia (Ulan-Ude, Russia) and Moscow State University.
