Student Brunch with Prof. David Shambaugh

In addition to a public lecture and a research seminar, Prof. Shambaugh will also be joining students, alumni and faculty for a scholarly exchange over breakfast in room 0.16 on Friday, November 22nd at 11:00am.

The Evolution of the Study of Chinese Politics in the United States

No nation has as well-developed studies of contemporary China as in the USA. In this presentation, Professor Shambaugh will reflect on the development and evolution of the study, research, and publications on the domestic politics of the People's Republic of China over the past 70 years. 

Professor David Shambaugh is an internationally recognized authority and author on contemporary China and the international relations of Asia, with a strong interest in the European Union and transatlantic issues. His areas of expertise include China’s domestic politics; China’s foreign relations; China’s military and security; and international relations of Asia.
