Quant Center Event: Mastering the Hypothesis Test

Hypothesis testing involves formulating statements about relationships between two or more variables, from which the statistical hypothesis of interest is formulated. A null hypothesis is used to describe what is true, when the hypothesis of interest is incorrect. An appropriate statistical test is then conducted. The results are used to decide whether to reject the null hypothesis.
