Guest Lecture: Finance Expert Joel Stern

Webster Vienna, through the Elizabeth Chopin Visiting Professorship Grant, and in partnership with Lauder Business School, will have the privilege to host Professor Joel M. Stern’s course: “The Theory and Policy of Modern Finance” this Spring. A pioneer and leading advocate of the concept of managing for shareholder value, Prof. Stern has published and co-authored several acclaimed books on financial economics and is founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Stern Stewart & Co.

About Prof. Joel Stern
Prior to founding Stern Stewart & Co in 1982, Mr. Stern served as President of Chase Financial Policy, the financial advisory arm of Chase Manhattan Bank. He also is executive editor of Stern Stewart's quarterly publication, The Journal of Applied Corporate Finance and is a member of the Editorial Board of the academic publication, the Journal of Financial Management and Analysis.
