Dr. Cede Published Book on Austrian Foreign Policy

Adjunct faculty member Ambassador Emer. Dr. Franz Cede and Christian Prosl published the English version of their book, Ambition and Reality: Austria’s Foreign Policy since 1945. The German version has been available since 2015.

The book offers crucial insights into Austria’s diplomatic goals and policy initiatives since the end of World War Two, which former EU Commissioner Franz Fischler notes in the book’s foreword had yet to be presented concisely.

Schubert commented on FM4’s news magazine show Reality Check today, Dec. 1, about the recent decision by OPEC member countries to reduce oil production by 1.2 million barrels per day on the condition that non-OPEC countries reduce production by 600,000 barrels per day, in order to increase oil prices.

Atomic Bomb Survivor Visits Webster Vienna on International Day of Peace

On September 21st, 2016 Webster Vienna had the distinct honor of having Reiko Yamada, survivor of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on August 6th, 1945, visit our campus. Despite the many hardships Reiko has had to endure after the bombing, her message is one of peace, love, forgiveness and a call to the youth of today to be aware of the dangers that lie in nuclear proliferation and war.
