Alumni Symposium

Webster’s 7th Annual Alumni Symposium 2014

Gender equality and diversity as the secret to economic success

The Alumni Symposium hosted by the Alumni Association at Webster University took place on November 24th in the beautiful Palais Eschenbach in Vienna’s first district. Palais Eschenbach is owned by the Austrian Business Association and offered a historic setting to the pleasant atmosphere. The panel consisted of four women and two men, each from a leading role in the business world. Reflecting on their personal experiences, the group produced a lively debate regarding gender equality to-date and its status of “under construction” within most career fields.

Mentoring program

Mentoring Program 2014/15 kicked off!

The Mentoring-Kickoff was much more than just a well organized event, it is a value added for students and an USP for Webster Vienna Private University. Student days are not only one of the most beautiful periods in our lives, but also one of the most important ones, and I'm pleased to take part in a process of shaping a student's career and future success (Stjepan Pticar, MBA '06).

Alumna Presents Exhibition at Stilwerk

Eva Petrič, a Webster Vienna alumna who graduated with a BA in Art and Psychology in 2005, has launched an exhibition just around the corner of Palais Wenkheim. Located in stilwerk (Praterstraße 1, 1020 Vienna), and called "playGROUND – there’s no place like home", it asks questions about space and identity. "What is our home, where is our home? What defines the concept of home? Territory, language, culture, traditions, family, relatives, physical borders?"
