Webster Vienna Represents at Webster Leiden

On April 7th, Webster Vienna's Football Club and two students from Webster's Got Talent Vienna 2017 traveled to Leiden; their mission: to take home the gold.

Every year, Webster's European campuses come together to play football and show off their talent during the Webster European Championship Weekend hosted by either the Vienna, Leiden, or Geneva Campus. During this weekend, both a football tournament and talent show take place. This year, Leiden was the host.

Although Vienna's football team played exceptionally well, they lost in a nail biter against Geneva when the game played over with injury time.

Vienna student and player in the tournament, Jaime Cabal, said, "Playing on Saturday against the other Webster teams was a great opportunity to meet students from the different campuses, as well as to experience some school spirit! It was a great experience overall, and would definitely recommend it to other students."

Saturday night after the tournament, students attended Webster's Got Talent European Championship where Vienna's very own Ellen Faye-Adams wowed the audience with her slam poetry, taking home the gold. Daisy James-Weidner, the runner up at Webster's got Talent Vienna, also belted out a lovely piece as fans from all three campuses cheered.

All in all, the weekend was a great success and a wonderful opportunity for Webster's European campuses get to know each other.

Congratulations to Ellen and a big thank you to all of the dedicated students who partook in the event.
