Webster Vienna Hosts International Society of Franchising Conference

From June 6-8th, Webster Vienna Private University hosted the 33rd International Society of Franchising Conference (ISoF). This multidisciplinary conference is the premier gathering for researchers, students, and practitioners in franchising. The conference's lead organizer was Dr. Nada Mumdziev, previously an Assistant Professor of Management at WVPU and an active member of ISoF, who helped to bring the event to Vienna. "ISOF's annual conference highlights research in franchising from a variety of perspectives, including marketing, management, and strategy," she said. Presentations also touched on contractual, legal, and even social considerations. Over the course of three days, researchers from more than 20 different countries presented 30 papers, each of which highlighted the latest insights into franchising. Participants were also treated to dinner in a medieval castle, a tour of Schönbrunn Palace, and a trip to the Wachau, a well-known wine-producing region along the Danube.
