Webster International Night
Palais Wenkheim was alive with the sounds of the international student community last night as Webster Vienna played host to its first-ever International Night. The evening featured a buffet of foods from diverse kitchens from Austria to Egypt to West Africa, a fashion show of different traditional costumes, and performances.
Highlights included vocals performances in Polish, Ukrainian, German and Persian, and dancing from West Africa, Romania and Lebanon. The crowd joined in and joined the dancers for both dance numbers, turning our atrium into a whirl of colours, smiles and laughter!
Donations were collected to help support schools for underprivileged children in Benin, West Africa.
The event was organized by a team of students led by undergraduates Audrey Kodjo, Angelika Kurnosenko and Diana Vulpescu, and was sponsored by the Student Government Association - they plan to make it an annual event.
