Successful Book & Research Presentation - ''Rethink! Project stakeholder management''

On 14th April 2016, Dr. Pernille Eskerod, Full Professor at the Business and Management Department proudly presented her new book ''Rethink! Project stakeholder management'' she co-authored with Dr. Martina Huemann and Dr. Claudia Ringhofer from WU Vienna University of Economics and Business in a fully booked Atrium on Webster Vienna’s campus.

After a brief welcome speech by Business and Management Department Head Christian Newman, M.S.e., the three researchers introduced their book and provided some interesting insight into the research process in the more and more challenging field of project stakeholder management. Many projects fail because stakeholders' expectations and interests are not sufficiently steered and managed. Some project stakeholders have power and may put the project under pressure. They judge the potential project success and decide whether they want to get involved, contribute to, and accept the project outcomes. It was the objective of the research project Rethink! PSM to enrich what project stakeholder management approaches look like and what working forms can deal with the increasing complexity of such approaches.

To provide even more practical insight, representatives from different stakeholder groups were present in the audience and provided statements from the floor. Managerial impressions and implications were presented by all three authors to conclude their book presentation. All guests were invited to the networking area to find out more about the new book over a celebratory glass of champagne and light buffet.

Congratulations again to Pernille, Martina and Claudia for publishing a successful book and hosting a wonderful event!
