NUS students for Summer School on EU at Webster Vienna
This week the International Relations Department of Webster Vienna hosts UG students from the National University of Singapore for the third part of their European Studies summer school, organized by the Munich International Summer University, Ludwigs-Maximilans-Universität Munich.
After fifteen days in Munich and Prague, students arrived in Vienna on June 21st, 2015. IR Department Head, Dr. Franco Algieri, expert on EU-Asian relations, is giving a lecture series on various EU topics, including "The EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP)", "The Eastern Partnership and EU-Russia Relations", "European Asia Policy" and "the EU's Global Role in the 21st Century: Superpower or Marginalized Power".
During their stay in Vienna, students will also visit the United Nations at the Vienna International Center. Their European visit will be completed by a day-trip to Budapest next weekend.
The National University of Singapore (NUS) is one of the world's top academic institutions, leading the QS Top Universities ranking for Asia (2015) and 22nd on QS' global list (2014). The Times Higher Education World University Rankings lists NUS as 25th in the world and 2nd in Asia.
