New Student Orientation Fall 2 2016

The Webster Vienna Community has once again expanded!

Our new Gorloks have arrived at Webster Vienna for the quarterly New Student Orientation (NSO) program before the start of the Fall II term. Staff, faculty, student leaders of the WebsterLEADS program and the Student Government Association (SGA) welcomed the new students and led a series of workshops and activities to get them started on the right foot and ensure they have all the tools for a successful student experience leading to graduation day.

Students got to know all their academic program can offer them, what services and resources they have at their disposal, and how to navigate getting settled in Vienna. They also got the chance to get a taste of all that campus community life has to offer, including student clubs, student government, and more. NSO wouldn't be complete without our tight-knit community coming together, which was eased by excursions to bowling and billiards organized by Student Services and the SGA.

First-year student Anika Jenke reflected on the week: "The NSO was a great opportunity to get to know a lot of new students and to learn more about the programs Webster University has to offer. It really helped me figure out how I want to design my degree.”

We wish our new students much success their university experience and welcome them to our community.

Many thanks to all the volunteer students who made NSO possible and set the example for their colleagues.
