New Student Orientation, Fall 1 (2017): Off to a Great Start!

It's that time of year again! Last week Palais Wenkheim welcomed our newest group of eager Gorloks during the Fall I, 2017 New Student Orientation (NSO).

Staff, faculty, student leaders of the WebsterLEADS program, and the Student Government Association (SGA) all worked together to help make the NSO a success and to welcome the new students to the Webster community. There were many sessions organized to help students acclimate both to Webster and to living in Vienna, including a "Vienna How To" led by our NSO leaders.

The week also included excursions to historic Schönbrunn Palace, a trip to IKEA for dorm necessities, Zip-lining in the Viennese woods, and a dinner hosted by the SGA. Friday evening was spent at the Neustifter Kirtag, a local Austrian summer festival, and on Sunday students enjoyed a movie night hosted by the SGA at the dorms.

As the school year begins, we hope that our new students are feeling well prepared for their Webster experience and life in Vienna.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who made the NSO possible, your time and energy was greatly appreciated!
