Franco Algieri and Elina Brutschin join IR research faculty
We are pleased to announce that two new faculty members will be joining the International Relations Department.
Dr. Franco Algieri (pictured right) will be joing the IR team as an Associate Professor. He has previously served as the Director of the Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy (AIES) and as research fellow at the University of Mainz and the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. He received his post-secondary education in the fields of Political Science and Sinology at the Universities of Freiburg and Tübingen, Germany.
Elina Brutschin (pictured left) will be joining the IR department as an Assistant Professor. She is a PhD candidate at Konstanz University, Germany and has been attending the post-graduate program at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna. Her dissertation, which she will defend in the near furture, is on the Liberalization of the European Gas Market. She has an M.A. in Easter European Studies and a B.A in Political and Aministrative Science, both from Konstanz University.
