Business & Management students visit advertising agency GGK Mullenlowe

On November 3rd the students from the MNGT 3510 Advertising class, taught by Business and Management faculty member Emil Tsenov, MBA, visited GGK Mullenlowe, which, together with its sister agencies McCann Erickson and FCB Neuwien are among the biggest advertising agency groups in Austria. The group currently counts big companies such as A1, Austrian Rail, Bahlsen, and many others to its clients. The CEO of the agency, Michael Kapfer, took the students through the whole process of creative advertising work, client management, and media relations. He presented several advertising campaigns and asked the students to express their honest opinion about them. The presentation soon turned interactive and ended up with a very honest discussion about what young people want from their employers, how a company like GGK Mullenlowe could attract potential employees from a university like Webster Vienna, and what the lifestyle of an advertising agency professional looks like. The meeting lasted well beyond the initially announced two hours and ended with the commitment of GGK Mullenlowe to continue the practice of showing Webster students the ins and outs of the advertising business.
