Bloomberg at Webster

Yesterday, Webster Vienna's Business and Management students had the exclusive opportunity to meet with representatives of Bloomberg for Education on campus.

More than 320,000 financial market professionals use Bloomberg's all-inclusive desktop solution to make informed decisions about Financial markets and to complete transactions 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Business and Management Department was excited to welcome Bloomberg for Education on campus, a service that provides students and faculty with access to hands-on knowledge and real-world experience. In a live demonstration of the Bloomberg Terminals students and faculty could see how financial market experts obtain their insights and gather data for their financial transactions. Students and researchers who could also make use of these terminals would have access to the same information and technology relied on by financial professionals all over the world. Thousands of functions, delivering data, insight, information and analytics are available to help students and researchers move from the theoretical to the practical and gain a real competitive advantage in the market.

On top of getting first-hand insights into the practical world of financial markets, Webster students and alumni had the wonderful opportunity to also register for an exclusive interview with a Bloomberg HR representative from London right before the event. In these introductory interviews for internships and graduate roles students had the chance to demonstrate their interest and skills. Webster Vienna's Career Development Centre supported the students with a CV and interview check to prepare them for this great opportunity.
