Bloomberg Terminals at Webster

On Thursday, November 30th Webster Vienna students, faculty, and staff joined representatives from Bloomberg Education for an interactive and multifaceted presentation of Bloomberg’s iconic software. Speakers introduced the basic mechanisms of the software and how it can be used for technical analysis of financial data. Students and faculty were also shown how Bloomberg Terminals can be implemented into course curriculum to create more dynamic, real-time interaction between students and the financial markets. After the presentation, students explored the utilities of the software in a transformed computer lab – a temporary Bloomberg Suite right here at Webster Vienna!

The business and management department hopes to further integrate Bloomberg Terminal software moving forward. We extend a special thank you to our presenters from Bloomberg: Oliver Woolf (Market Specialist for Technical Analysis), Dmitri Belopolski (Bloomberg for Education), Matthias Wabl (Bloomberg News Editor in Austria), and Julia Dörflinger (Bloomberg Sales Vienna/Austria).

We welcome students who participated in the event to submit anonymous feedback using our Feedback Form. The feedback box can be found in our departmental lounge area.
