Alumna Presents Exhibition at Stilwerk

Eva Petrič, a Webster Vienna alumna who graduated with a BA in Art and Psychology in 2005, has launched an exhibition just around the corner of Palais Wenkheim. Located in stilwerk (Praterstraße 1, 1020 Vienna), and called "playGROUND – there’s no place like home", it asks questions about space and identity. "What is our home, where is our home? What defines the concept of home? Territory, language, culture, traditions, family, relatives, physical borders?"

Eva currently resides in Vienna, Austria, and works in Vienna, New York City and Ljubljana, as a multimedia artist in photography, video, installation, performance and writing. Her visual work was displayed at 32 solo exhibitions and at 38 group exhibitions in Slovenia, Argentina, Austria, China, Germany, Italy, Macedonia, Philippines, Spain, Serbia and USA. She has won numerous prestigious awards, including the Vordemberge-Gildewart Foundation Grant for 2010 and the 2010 Grant of the Ministry for Culture of the Republic of Slovenia. Eva is also the author of two novels, published in six languages and a collection of poetry, published in three languages, illustrated with her photographs.
