Webster Alumni Association

The Webster Alumni Association has been connecting graduates to one another and to their alma mater since 1923, and is a free organization with automatic membership to all graduates. Chapters of the Association can be found all over the world - from Albuquerque to Zagreb and all points in between, Webster alumni are making connections with one another and with their alma mater!

Welcome to the Vienna Chapter!

The Vienna Chapter of the Alumni Association was established in 2005. It is organized by a group of highly involved individuals and alumni. Together with the Webster Vienna Alumni Office, they seek to help alumni worldwide to stay in touch with each other and the University, to provide alumni with professional and social networking opportunities, and to bring alumni together with current students and faculty.

Stefano Cantini, MA ‘94, President, together with the two Vice Presidents of the Chapter, Angelica Vuzem-de la Rosa, BA ‘85 and Rita Pollozhani, BA ‘06, actively promote the following goals of the Alumni Association in Vienna:

  • Strengthen the ties between Webster Vienna alumni by organizing regular events.
  • Unite alumni interested in the accomplishments and the future progress of Webster University.
  • Welcome new alumni to the area, recognize and encourage outstanding alumni.
  • Assist in recruiting qualified students to Webster University.
  • Support development activities of Webster Vienna focusing on the educational programs.

The Vienna Chapter President and Vice President are supported by Mag. Sabina Tandari, MA, Head of Fundraising & Alumni, and Mag. Lisa Edelbacher, Fundraising & Alumni Coordinator.

The Career Development Center, headed by Mag. Margit H. Kanka, MA, is also located within the Fundraising & Alumni Office and offers current students and recent graduates assistance preparing for their job search. The CDC works closely with the Alumni Association to reach out to alumni who are willing to donate their knowledge and experience to helping current students on their career track.

Webster Vienna actively stays in touch with alumni through an electronic newsletter. Vienna alumni also have access to Webster's worldwide network of alumni through the Alumni Online Community. Alumni can reconnect with former classmates, find alumni in a particular field and post their own personal and professional accomplishments. Alumni can even sign-up for their own permanent, life-long webster.edu e-mail address free of charge.
