The Journalism Weekend Workshop in Anif (Anifer Journalismustage) will take place once again for the 6th year in July 2019. It has established itself as a standard in the Austrian media scene. Major features include a continually growing number of applicants, high-quality presenters/trainers and memorable keynote speakers from domestic as well as international organizations. These features guarantee that this event is well received in the community.
Seasoned professionals with experience in the central theme of this year’s event, namely mobile journalism or mojo, will work with a small group of journalism students as well as young professionals in journalism active in Europe. The goal is to transfer the skills and competencies associated with this innovative area of mobile journalism to the participants in order to foster an objective and independent stance to journalism in Europe and elsewhere. The focus is to combine the most current aspects of the field with the knowledge of how such aspects are applied in real world situations. The relatively small number of participants will guarantee close contact with the trainers and will give the opportunity to broaden one’s professional network of contacts.
Organized by Webster Vienna Private University in Cooperation with the Kuratorium für Journalistenausbildung. The Journalism Weekend Workshop will be held at Four-Star Hotel Friesacher in Anif/Salzburg.
‘The Journalism Weekend in Anif (Anifer Journalismustage) is supported by Kuratorium für Journalismus, an education institution for journalists in Austria that embraces the cooperation with universities for the scientific foundation, the international networking for the view on global developments and the early recognition of trends.
